Project Description: Chameliya Hydroelectric Project is a run-off-river type project located Lattinath, Guljar and Tapoban VDC’s of Darchula district, Mahakali zone, Far Western Region of Nepal. The Intake and Weir is proposed downstream of the confluence of Rugru Gad and Chameliya river at Guljar VDC. Major Structures of the Project are Diversion Weir & Intake, Settling Basin, Headrace Pipe, Surge Tank, Penstock Pipe, Powerhouse and Tailrace canal. The Powerhouse site is proposed at Lama Bagar of Lattinath VDC, Darchula district just u/s the confluence of Odkhet Khola and Chameliya river. The whole alignment runs along the left bank of the river.  

Scope of Services:

1. Collection and gathering of all the manpower and equipment to carry out hydrological measurement works;
2. Installation of 5 m manual staff gauge at suitable location and powerhouse and record daily water level for 24 months;
3. Establishment of automatic/telemetric gauging station at headworks;
4. Conduct survey, design, construction and install cable way hydrological data collection;
5. Carryout discharge measurement using current meter and appropriate fish weight on monthly basis for 20 months on 15th day of each month;
6. Conduct sediment sampling using standard point on following frequency:
   a) Daily one sample on monsoon season (June to September)
   b) One sample in fifteen days on remaining months and
7. Laboratory Test
  a) Laboratory test on following samples:
   • Concentration Analysis – 272 samples
   • Particle Size Distribution (PSD) – 10 samples
   • Mineralogical Analysis – 10 sample
   • Water Quality Test – 20 sample
