Project Description: Upper Modi A HEP is RoR hydroelectric project located in Modi River of Kaski District. The installed capacity of the project is 42 MW with design discharge of 17.4 m3/s and gross head of 287.69 m; 30m long and 7m high free flow weir; 3.85m dia HRT of length 5,948m; 2.5m dis 250m long drop shaft; 36m x 15m x 28.2m surface powerhouse housing two units of vertical shaft Pelton turbines 21 MW each.Upper Modi HEP is proposed to be developed as a cascade of Upper Modi A HEP. The flow from tailrace of UMAHEP is diverted to UMHEP through interconnection arrangement/ The installed capacity of the project is is 18.2 MW with design discharge of 17.4 m3/s and gross head of 133m; interconnection head-pond 719m long box culvert; 3.85m dia 4223 m long HRT; 10m dia, 37m high surge tank; 33m x 15.5m x 25m surface powerhouse housing two units of vertical shaft Francis turbines.
Scope of Services:
1. Gathering and transportation of necessary equipment required to carry out the survey works;
2. Establishment of permanent Benchmark along the road way at every 10 m interval;
3. Cross-section survey of road at least 10 m interval and 30 m right of way;
4. Cross-section survey of features like stream, small kholsi, canal abruptly changed ground condition, sharp bends areas, steep areas etc. if they come between the interval of 10 m;
5. Center line marking of the existing road, edges, slopes and trace with sufficient point density for earthwork quantity calculation purpose prior to the widening of road;
6. Marking of chainage in the ground with enamel paints; and
7. Reporting and Data submission in both hard copy and editable format.
