Project Description: Kimathanka Arun Hydroelectric Project is a Peaking RoR project of installed capacity of 450 MW. Kimathanka Arun HEP is northern most project proposed along the Arun river located in Sankhuwasabha district. The headworks of the project is located about 2.5 km South of the Nepal China border. The project has catchment area of 24,836 km2 and uses design discharge of 143 m3/s. It generates total annual energy of 2,590 GWh.

Scope of Services:

1. Supply, Delivery and installation of Automatic Rain Gauge Station within project site of Kimathanka Arun HEP;
2. The equipment consists of:
   • Rain gauge sensor (Tipping Bucket Type) – 0.2 mm
   • Data logger with telemetry system – CDMA
   • Solar panel for power back up – 5 W
   • Power and communication cables – Aluminum
   • Mounting post and clamps – GI Pipe
   • Fencing metal post and net – MS
   • Metal door with lock system – MS
3. Testing and handover of the station to client after completion of site installation;
4. Train client for viewing and retrieving the real time data from server;
5. Preparation and submission of site installation report.
6. Equipment Used:
   • Onset Hobo RX 3003-00-01 Remote Monitoring Station;
   • Onset Hobo S-RGF-M002 Rain Gauge Smart Sensor;
   • GSM Arrangement for Data Retrieval;
   • Solar Panel with Battery Set (5 watts); and
   • Cable adapters-splitters, communicating Cables, Protective Enclosures and other fencing materials.
