Project Description: Budhigandaki (PRoR) Hydropwoer Project is of installed capacity 341 MW located in Gorkha district of Gandaki Province, Nepal having design discharge of 100.27 m3/s. The project is Peaking Run-of-the-River scheme having concrete gravity dam of length 52 m and height 38m. The water is guided through HRT of 7.2m diameter of total length 7.34 km to underground powerhouse of size 110m X 17m X 37m with net head of 388m. 220 kV Double Circuit Transmission line of length 10 km evacuates the generated energy to the nearest sub-station located in Gumda sub-station.

Scope of Services:

1. Proper Site selection near the gauging station for discharge measurement and River Cross section survey along the discharge measurement section;
2. Monthly discharge measurement of Budhigandaki River in the vicinity of gauging station by Sounding Reel Method from June 2019 to May 2020 (12 measurements);
3. Discharge Measurement of Bhalu Khola by Wading Rod Method from June 2019 to May 2020 (12 measurements);
4. Suspended Load Sampling by Point Sampling Method on Budhigandaki River, two samples per day for four months from by Depth Integration Method from June 2019 to October 2019;
5. Sediment Concentration Test: 244 samples, Mineral Content Analysis: 32 samples, Particle Size Distribution Test: 32 samples and Water Quality Test: 4 samples;
6. Submission of monthly discharge measurement and sediment report including site photographs and final reports including Discharge Rating Curve and Sediment Rating Curve.
7. Equipment Used:
    a. Current Meter with accessories, Four-wheel crane system with fish weight and sounding reel;
    b. Total Station;
    c. Point Sampler and Depth Integration Sampler with related accessories;
    d. Filtration and Weighing System, Drying Oven and accessories, Trinocular Stereo Zoom Microscope and Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer.
