Project Description: Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has planned to prepare Cross-section survey of 6 snow stations along with the discharge measurement at that stations. the six stations are Langtang, Annapurna, Khumbu (Dingboche), Khumbu (Pagboche), Tsho Rolpa and Kanjirowa. The Latitude and Longitude of Langtang is 28°13′00″ and 85°37′00″, Annapurna is 28°31′00″ and 83°57′00″, Khumbu (Dingboche) is 27°53′40″ and 85°56′40″, Khumbu (Pagboche) is 27°52′00″ and 86°46′00″, Tsho Rolpa is 27°51′00″ and 86°27′00″ and Kanjirowa is 29°07′00″ and 82°36′00″.

Scope of Services:

1. Task-1: Inception of the Assignment and Planning for Proposed Study Works
   • Review of Relevant Documents;
   • Kick-off meeting with the Client;
   • Desk Study of Project Area;
   • Planning of the executing Field Works;
   • Planning for Analysis and Study Works;
2. Task-2: Field Data Collection
   • Identification of Benchmark Coordinates and Linking with Existing Staff Gauges;
   • River Cross-section Survey;
   • River Discharge Measurement;
   • Data Recording and Documentation.
3. Task-3: Data Computation and Analysis
   • Manning’s Coefficient (n);
   • Parameters at 0.2 m interval up to 5 above HFL;
     o Cross-section Area (A)
     o Wetted Perimeter (P)
     o Hydraulic Radius (R)
     o Discharge (Q)
   • Plotting of Water Level;
   • Computation of Peak Flood Discharge;
   • Plotting of Stage-Discharge (Rating) Curve.
