Project Description: Budhigandaki (PRoR) Hydropwoer Project is of installed capacity 341 MW located in Gorkha district of Gandaki Province, Nepal having design discharge of 100.27 m3/s. The project is Peaking Run-of-the-River scheme having concrete gravity dam of length 52 m and height 38m. The water is guided through HRT of 7.2m diameter of total length 7.34 km to underground powerhouse of size 110m X 17m X 37m with net head of 388m. 220 kV Double Circuit Transmission line of length 10 km evacuates the generated energy to the nearest sub-station located in Gumda sub-station.

Scope of Services:

1. Collection, gathering and transportation of all the materials and equipment;
2. Set up lab at the site to store the equipment and samples;
3. Appoint and train the site technician to carry out the sampling by depth integration method;
4. Collection of two sets of samples by Depth Integration Method, one at 8 AM and another at 4 PM for 4 months from the suspension bridge recognized by the client and concentration analysis of all the samples collected;
5. Collection of 2 sediment samples per week for 4 months and PSD and Mineral analysis of those samples;
6. Daily recording of the gauge reading at the time of sampling and development of Sediment Rating Curve; and
7. Preparation and submission of monthly progress report with sufficient photographs and final report with sediment rating curve and other findings.
8. Equipment used to take samples by Depth Integration method:
   a) Depth Integration Sampler with four-wheel crane system;
   b) Filtration system, Drying Oven and weighing accessories;
   c) Microscope for Mineral content analysis; and
   d) Particle Size Analyzer for Particle Size Distribution Analysis.
