Project Description: Lower Seti (Tanahu) Hydropower Project is the storage type hydropower project with the capacity of 140MW with an estimated average annual energy generation of 587.7 GWh (Years 1-10) and 489.9 GWh (Year 11 onwards). The Project is situated on Seti river of Vyas municipality near Damauli, the district headquarter of Tanahun District. The waterway consists of 7.4 m diameter and 1,203m long headrace tunnel on the right bank for the river. An underground powerhouse measuring 27m wide x 46m high x 97m long will be built approximately 6 km (along the river course) downstream of the dam site.

Scope of Services:

1. Supply, Delivery and Installation of manual staff gauge in Seti River at dam site of Lower Seti HEP, 1 No x 4 m;
2. Provide training to the local staff gauge reader for taking regular readings as per DoED guidelines;
3. Conducting six nos. of discharge measurement of Seti River (January – April 2019) using current meter from the suspension bridge near the gauging station by sounding reel method;
4. Conducting one discharge measurement of Seti River at upstream of Seti-Madi Confluence using current meter from the suspension bridge by sounding reel method;
5. Data interpretation and result analysis.
6. Equipment used:
   a) USGS Standardized Current Meter;
   b) 75/35-pound fish weight;
   c) 45m long sounding reel; and
   d) Four-wheel pulley & crane arrangement; and
   e) Gauge plates, wooden posts, rock driller and accessories.
